How do we avoid this: 

Well, I can’t do it because even if I did it is a closed app and two days later with all the great equipment they have they would release something new and we have already screwed it up, so if you want to avoid it the only way is to avoid using it and that’s it. Yes, since you are not NASA nor do you need “god level” security, there are some things you can modify:

Los que me conocéis sabéis que yo no uso WhatsApp para nada importante, me gusta más telegram, que aunque no es totalmente seguro a nivel hacker, para un uso más avanzado que whatsapp es muy superior.

Pues bien, este artículo viena a colación de haber visto que últimamente, pese a haberse dicho por activa y por pasiva que NO SE DEBEN PONER DATOS PERSONALES en esa plataforma, parece que la gente se ha olvidado y día sí, día también se comparten datos, informaciones, imágenes…… utilizando un grupo de whatsapp. 

spoiler.- llegará el día en que se comerán un marronazo, y este post queda como prueba de que algunos ya lo dijimos, así que cuando se enfrenten a una posible demanda, que no nos metan a todos en el saco. Así que para que no digan… “es que claro, no sabíamos como evitar que whatsapp nos espiará y como nos venía tan bien….bla bla bla” os explico como Meta usa esta App de mensajería para espiarte y como puedes evitarlo…

3.-Cifrado Whatsapp Al implementar este algoritmo de cifrado, whatsapp no puede leer tus mensajes teóricamente y digo “teóricamente” porque es lo que te dicen ellos, pero al ser facebook código cerrado no sabes si tienen una puerta trasera (la tienen, así que leer todo lo que pones es más fácil que robarle el caramelo a un niño contemplado). Ahora viene donde salen los enterados que te dicen….”NO PUEEEDE, NO PUEEEDE, NO….pues bien, supongamos que “no puede”:

Data recopilada Solo con irte a la política de privacidad de Whtasapp puedes observar que siguen extrayendo datos y esos datos, esta metadata extraída es enviada a Facebook y vendida a Terceros (Data Brokers) y aunque no sean los mensajes en sí supuestamente si que contienen TODO, TODO, TODO lo que te define e identifica, como por ejemplo… Estos son algunos (la lista es infinita) de los datos que recogen: · Nº Teléfono · IP · Ubicación GPS · Contactos · Nombres y Apellidos · Fotos de Perfil · Información del teléfono · Identificadores únicos: IMEI, IMSI, Nº Serie, MAC, etc · Hábito de uso · Etc…Etc…Etc. 

Como evitamos esto: 

Pues bien, yo no puedo hacerlo porque aunque lo hiciera es una app cerrada y a los dos días con todo el equipazo que tienen sacarían otra cosa nueva y ya la hemos fastidiado, así que si quieres evitarlo la única manera es evitar usarla y punto, eso sí, como tampoco eres la NASA ni necesitas una seguridad “nivel dios”, si que hay algunas cosicas que puedes modificar:

a.- Elimina algunos permisos o ponlos en modo “Permitir solo mientras se usa la App” Permisos innecesarios que tiene la App de WhatsApp como: · Localización · Sensores · SMS · Dispositivos Cercanos · Registro de llamadas También elimina el guardado o Back-Up en la nube. Como decía al inicio de este apartado, la única forma de evitar ser espiado es dejar de usarla, y punto, a mí para la información que utilizo y mi relevancia a nivel internacional (básicamente cero, jajaj) me da igual lo que va a pillar de mí, eso sí, cuando es usada en entornos administrativos me saca de mis casillas, y la única forma de arreglar esto, sería “EDUCÁNDOLOS” y mostrarles alternativas. Pero, sinceramente, si lo intentas, eres “el rarito”, “el que viene fastidiando”, “el geek”, “el…. ” así que directamente PASO.
