Claws mail and portable browsers

Hello every F96CE_XFCE_FUSILLI 4.4 USERS (and puppy linux users in general, oc).

If u use the included Firefox ESR version included by default in this distro, YOU ARE NOT GOING TO HAVE ANY PROBLEM when opening a mail link, because claws mail is configured (or can be easily configured) to open links with the default browser or the one you choose ( CONFIGURATION, PREFERENCES, EXTERNAL PROGRAMS) and the edit option you want (in my case gedit %s) (IMAGE1)

But It is possible you start using one of the PORTABLE BROWSERS and you wanna use it to open mail links.- You are going to do the same rutine, but you can find your browser at this list, what must you do?

n.b.- This is the main idea, each one must adequate it to its particular situation, because some of you can think you can configure this portable browser as default and choose the OPEN WITH DEFAULT PROGRAM option, BUT it doesn’t work for me. Others can asociate .html files with this portable browser…BUT id doesn’t work for me. Others…… BLA, BLA, BLA jaja.

The easier option is:

.- Go to the lauch file of your installed portable browser, right click on it an choose COPY PATH (so you have to way to this launch file)

.- Start Thunar (files) and choose the option VIEW, SHOW HIDDEN FILES

.- ROOT,.CLAWSMAIL

.- THERE YOU FIND THE FILE CLAWSRC where you need to find the line uri_open_command=firefox (or the browser you used) and substitute it for the path to your desired browser launch file (in my case, slimjet) uri_open_command=/mnt/sda3/opt/slimjet/LAUNCH ‘%s’

Restart X and start opening links with SLIMJET (or your choosen browser)
